It being a pack-in title with the console definitely helped it’s sales, but Mario Kart is still a “must-buy” for most households.
Donkey Kong Bananza has also made a powerful debut, selling 3.49 million copies. The title’s fresh take on the iconic franchise, combined with polished gameplay and strong reviews, has helped cement it as one of the console’s early success stories.

When taken together, these numbers paint a clear picture: the Nintendo Switch 2 is off to a phenomenal start. A hardware base of over 10 million units paired with more than 20 million games sold indicates not only strong demand, but also high engagement from players.
