Nintendo Switch 2 Has ALREADY Reached This CRAZY Sales Milestone!
Nintendo has done it again. Just months after launch, the Nintendo Switch 2 is already posting eye catching sales figures that underline the company’s continued dominance in the gaming industry, both in hardware and software.
According to the latest sales data, as of September 30, 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2 has sold an impressive 10.36 million units worldwide. This milestone places it among the fastest selling consoles in Nintendo’s history. Equally notable is the console’s software performance, with 20.62 million games sold alongside the hardware, indicating that players are not only purchasing the system but actively expanding their game libraries.
Two major first-party titles have been instrumental in driving this momentum:
- Mario Kart World has raced ahead with 9.57 million copies sold, making it the clear breakout hit of the Switch 2 era so far. The game’s blend of classic Mario Kart chaos with expanded worlds and online features has resonated strongly with both longtime fans and newcomers. It being a pack-in title with the console definitely helped it’s sales, but Mario Kart is still a “must-buy” for most households.
- Donkey Kong Bananza has also made a powerful debut, selling 3.49 million copies. The title’s fresh take on the iconic franchise, combined with polished gameplay and strong reviews, has helped cement it as one of the console’s early success stories.
When taken together, these numbers paint a clear picture: the Nintendo Switch 2 is off to a phenomenal start. A hardware base of over 10 million units paired with more than 20 million games sold indicates not only strong demand, but also high engagement from players.
With more first-party titles and third-party support expected in the coming months, sales momentum could accelerate even further.
For Nintendo fans, the message is clear: The Switch 2 era is already shaping up to be something special, and this “crazy” sales milestone may just be the beginning.
